The nationwide campaign “Taza Kazakhstan”, initiated by Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, is not limited to one-day clean-up days and month-long events. So, the staff of EKU took part in the next eco-event “Clean Thursday”, organised by the regional branch of the party “AMANAT”.

About 100 employees of the university were engaged in improving the territory from Karbysheva Street to the city park “Samal”.

-Today there are faculty members, researchers, master’s students and even student volunteers. All of us jointly support the idea of development of ecological culture in Kazakhstan. Our mood is positive. The morning was definitely productive,” said Zhanneta Kalimoldina, vice-rector for educational and social work.

Sanitary cleaning of leaves and household plastic did not do without the main helpers – rakes, shovels and lawn mowers. After thorough work, more than a dozen bulky bags of rubbish were collected.

It should be noted that the “Clean Thursday” campaign has been running since 6 June in all regions of the country. It is actively supported by concerned citizens and activists.
