QUICK VICTORY: A STUDENT OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY BECAME A PRIZE-WINNER OF THE CYCLING RACE ‘TOUR DE OSKEMEN’

In Ust-Kamenogorsk there was a large-scale bicycle race ‘Tour de Oskemen’, in which all citizens and guests of the regional centre took part. The students of the university were not left aside. The second-year student of the educational programme ‘Physical Culture and Sports’ Aldiyar Hasenov not only became a bright participant of the cycling race, but also won the cherished gold.

The young sportsman took part in individual and team scoring. The first day of the competition was a solo cycling race with a distance of 22.5 kilometres. There Aldiyar took the honourable first place in the category ‘Pro’.

On the second day the participants tested their strength in a group race at a distance of 92 kilometres. The EKU student again demonstrated the best result.

-I am well familiarised with the track, and a week before the competition we trained there. I really enjoyed the event. The weather was great and the mood was great. In general, it was the first time I participated in competitions of such a plan, so I’m glad to have a new experience and my result, – the prize-winner shared his impressions.

It should be noted that Aldiyar Hasenov showed his skills in cycling and won a money certificate for 300,000 tenge.
