GALATEA TRIO: PIANIST OLZHAN KOSTUBAEV, EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY GRADUATE
Talented pianist Olzhan Kostubaev, a graduate of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, presented a concert of international level with friends abroad within the framework of cooperation between the Department of Music Education of the Higher School of Pedagogy of East Kazakhstan University and Children’s Music School No. 1.
During the evening, Olzhan performed classical works by Sergei Rachmaninoff written for piano, violin and cello. Studying in the educational program “foreign language: two foreign languages”, Olzhan studied English at a high level and additionally learned German. In honor of the university where he studied, the laureate of international competitions German violinist Henrike Blixlager and cellist Leonard Küli came with friends and presented world-class works to the teachers of the music school, pupils and students of the educational program “music education”.
-I am happy to meet again with the teachers, students of the universities I attended. East Kazakhstan University has opened me not only to good knowledge, but also to great opportunities. I hope that today’s concert gave the audience a good mood,” said East Kazakhstan University alumnus Olzhan Kostubaev.
East Kazakhstan University alumnus Olzhan Kostubaev, who links the two countries with musical art, gives concerts in several cities in Kazakhstan.
-I liked the concert of the trio “Galatea”, created by the pianist and German musicians educated at East Kazakhstan University. Having rested under classical music, my enthusiasm to music has increased. In the future, I also want to study abroad and return to the country. I’m learning to play the piano, dombra and bayan,” said East Kazakhstan University student Kairat Mansur.
At the end of the event, which is held in the framework of the 30th anniversary of the Goethe Institute, pupils, students asked questions to the East Kazakhstan University alumnus and talked in a free format.
