NON-STANDARD CAREER GUIDANCE: THE SCHOOL HELD A TRAINING SESSION

An interactive training session for 11th grade students was held at secondary school No. 24 as part of career guidance work. The event was organised by Alima Alipova, Head of the “Dana Bala” Centre, Yulia Kukina, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology and Correctional Pedagogy, and students of the Psychology Department Dmitry Poteshkin and Mikhail Yesipov.

During the event, schoolchildren shared their chosen professions, coming up with a creative advert and a simulated business project for each of them.

-The children liked this unusual method of career guidance very much. We attracted students to show by their example the opportunities and advantages of East Kazakhstan University, – said Alima Alipova.

According to her, 80 per cent of applicants from secondary school No 24 choose Amanzholov University.
