“ERUDITE FORUM” WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

On the basis of Amanzholov University an intellectual competition “Erudite Forum” was held, organized to improve financial literacy of young people. The competition was held by the Department of Economic Investigations for EKR of the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by students of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, Kazakhstan-American Free University, D. Serikbayev. East Kazakhstan University.

-Thanks to such initiatives, students have a chance to demonstrate their knowledge, prepare for the challenges that await them in the future. I wish the participants confidence, team spirit, bright discoveries. Let this competition become not only a test of knowledge, but also an inspiration for future achievements, – said Aidyn Moldabekov.

The members of jury became the deputy of the first investigatory management of department of economic investigations on East Kazakhstan region Bakytbek Kulzhanbekov, the mentor of the project “Karyzsyz qogam” on East Kazakhstan region Ermek Zhumagulov, the director of the Youth resource center of akimat of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, the deputy of city maslikhat Bakytzhan Erbolova, the deputy director of public fund “Antares A” Serik Baibusunov.

The exciting intellectual competition consisted of four stages. The first – “Creative” – was a self-presentation of the teams, during which the participants presented their teams.

The second round – “Homework” – each team presented a video dedicated to the activities of financial pyramids and their consequences.

The third round – “Solution of situational tasks” – participants were offered various situations in which they had to apply knowledge about financial risks and fraud.

The question-and-answer quiz was the final stage.

According to the results of the jury, the team of Amanzholov University took the second place.

-The competition was organized at the highest level. The quiz was exciting. This is a wonderful experience for me,” says one of the participants.

It should be noted that this format of the event deepened students’ knowledge of financial literacy and protection from financial risks.
