EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY HOSTS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSES FOR TEACHERS

Sarsen Amanzholov Resource Center for Professional Training and Professional Development of East Kazakhstan University holds a distance learning course for teachers on the program “Teaching Geography using HES”, agreed with the Committee of Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the course is to train teachers to use geoinformation technologies as a tool for collecting, storing, analyzing and visualizing spatial and temporal information, which will improve the quality of the educational process for schoolchildren. Teachers from districts of East-Kazakhstan region take part in the course program. The duration of the course is 135 hours.

The lecturer of the course was PhD Doctor, Head of the Department of Ecology and Geography, Associate Professor Nazgul Jensikbaeva.
