COURSERA PLATFORM USAGE RESULTS FOR 2024

In 2024, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan allocated East Kazakhstan University 850 user licenses for the educational platform “Coursera”. During the reporting period, 1,707 students successfully used the licenses, completing 2,266 courses and receiving 3,017 certificates. The most popular categories were Leadership and Management, Business Essentials, Business Strategy, Education, Entrepreneurship, Software Development, Personal Development, Music and Art, Learning English and Law.

Students took courses in Kazakh, English, Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Turkish and other languages.

The second place in popularity was taken by the author’s course “Zhasushaga Sayahat” by Gulnaz Sadykanova, Professor of Biology Department, Candidate of Biological Sciences.

It should be noted that such results confirm the high level of students’ involvement, as well as open new prospects for mastering knowledge in the online format.
