SPARTAKIADE-2025: THE FIRST ROUND OF VOLLEYBALL

S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University is nearing the end of the 2025 Spartakiade, an event that actively promotes the culture of a healthy lifestyle. Chess competitions, togyzkumalak game, spectacular speed swims, tug of war and dynamic soccer are behind us. Today the participants of the sports event tested their strength in the last sport – volleyball. In the first round, each team presented six players who are distinguished by their marksmanship, speed and ability to work as a team. The judge was a senior lecturer of the Department of Culture, Sports and Initial Military Training Zhanabek Angishpayev.

The first to enter the volleyball field were representatives of the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences. Their rivals were the main minds of the university – research workers.

-The game was tense and emotional, the participants demonstrated excellent physical preparation and teamwork. Tomorrow we plan to hold eight more games. The winners of all matches will meet in the final and compete for the unanimous championship, – said the judge.

It should be noted that the annals of volleyball date back to 1895, when 25-year-old physical education teacher William Morgan suspended a tennis net at a height of about two meters and offered his students to throw a basketball over it. The place where this happened was the town of Holyoke in the US state of Massachusetts.
