SDG: DEVELOPING STUDENTS’ CAREER POTENTIAL

East Kazakhstan University actively develops research activities, providing students with unique opportunities for professional growth and employment. This is the eighth UN Sustainable Development Goal.
A vivid example of this approach to education is Balym Alibekova, a 5th year student of Nuclear Physics, who works as an engineer at the Research Center for Surface Engineering and Tribology. According to her, participation in scientific research allowed her not only to deepen her theoretical knowledge, but also significantly develop her practical skills.
In addition, participation in real scientific projects focused on current industry demands opens up new employment opportunities for her.

East Kazakhstan University actively supports students’ aspirations in career development by providing them with opportunities for realization in scientific centers and laboratories. Such conditions facilitate the integration of students into promising industries, including high technology, energy, materials science, nuclear physics and mechanical engineering. This is an important aspect of training highly qualified specialists capable of working in various sectors of the economy and contributing to the development of scientific and technological progress.
