Strengthening of international relations is one of the priority tasks of the largest university in East Kazakhstan region. Today S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University has more than 200 active cooperation agreements with leading universities and scientific centers of the world. This means that East Kazakhstan University students have a unique opportunity to study abroad, learn foreign languages among native speakers and receive double diplomas, which are highly appreciated by employers in the labor market.
– We maintain cooperation with educational institutions and organizations in more than 30 countries. Among the partner countries are Russia, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, South Korea, Poland, Italy, Ukraine, Thailand, China, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Cameroon, Switzerland, Spain, India, Romania and Malaysia, etc.,” said Dana Nigmanova, Head of Strategy, International Cooperation and Accreditation Department.
Every year, students of the alma mater are sent for training or internship within the framework of various international exchange programs. For example, “Erasmus+” is a program of the European Union, aimed at promoting modernization and sustainable development of the education system, vocational training, youth policy and sports. The “Mevlana” program realizes academic exchange between staff and students of Turkish universities and universities of other countries. The project of the organization “DAAD” unites more than 200 German universities and about 130 different student organizations. The “ITEC” program was launched in India in 1964. Today, the country offers more than 12,000 scholarships per year to 162 partner countries to study in 67 institutions under the ITEC program, which is fully funded by the Government of India. The ORHUN project provides academic exchange opportunities between member universities of the Organization of Turkic Universities in countries such as Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Hungary.
– Also our university offers its students double-diploma educational programs with foreign universities. The list of our partners includes Vitovt the Great University (Lithuania), University of Cassino and Southern Lazio (Italy) and Altai State University (Russia),” Dana Nigmanova emphasized.
It should be noted that the advantages of double-diploma education are international experience, employment prospects, mastering progressive knowledge, as well as receiving two diplomas at once after four years of study.
