USING GIS IN TEACHING GEOGRAPHY

The Resource Center for Professional Training and Professional Development organized a professional development course “Application of GIS in teaching geography”. The course is designed for pedagogical staff of natural science direction and was conducted in the volume of 135 hours with the approval of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the Department of Ecology and Geography masters, doctoral students and school teachers mastered the theoretical and practical foundations of the use of GIS-technologies in teaching geography. At the end, the participants were awarded certificates.
