THE “LOST IN TRANSLATION” QUIZ WAS HELD AS PART OF THE METHODOLOGICAL DECADE

The methodological decade continues at the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation studies. The lecturer of the department Yerkebulan Baurzhanovich conducted a quiz on the topic “Lost in Translation“. During the event, participants demonstrated their knowledge by categories: Idioms, abbreviations, translator‘transformations, special terminology, false friends, etc. Each category of the quiz allowed participants to understand the features of the language and its complex aspects, such as polysemous words, phraseological units, special terms.
