EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY HAS AWARDED A GRANT FOR FOUR YEARS OF STUDY

At the Department of Computer Modeling and Information Technologies the Olympiad on Informatics among pupils of 10-11 classes was held. Schoolchildren of Shemonaikha, Altai, Glubokov, Katon-Karagai districts and Ust-Kamenogorsk city took part in the Olympiad. In total there were 74 participants. All of them competed for
the main prize – an educational grant for four years.

According to the results of the competition the winner became the pupil of 11th grade Khorev Alexey (Complex “Zevakinskaya secondary comprehensive school-kindergarten” of Shemonaikha district).

In addition, within the framework of the Olympiad, associated professors of the department Kubentaeva S.N. and Zhantasova J.Z. held a methodological seminar for school teachers on the topic “Artificial Intelligence in Education: Trends and Prospects”. During the seminar were considered modern trends and promising opportunities of artificial intelligence in education, the introduction of innovative solutions and technologies to improve the effectiveness of the learning process.

At the end of the event, the teachers were presented with letters of thanks and certificates.
