SDG: ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES IN LITERATURE
In today’s world, environmental problems are becoming more and more urgent. In fiction literature about nature narrated by scientific content and figurative word. In order to strengthen the environmental education of youth at the Department of Kazakh, Russian philology and journalism study the works of K. Paustovsky, village writers V. Rasputin and V. Astafiev, as well as regional authors such as E. Kurdakov, B. Shcherbakova and others.
The program of the courses “Russian Modern and Contemporary Literature” and “Regional Literature” includes works by writers who reveal the wonderful world of nature and persuade to think about environmental problems.
Master’s students in their scientific dissertations analyze works that raise issues of ecology, such as, “Functions of landscape in the spatial and temporal organization of the story of O. Bokeev ‘Kerbugu – Grey Deer’, ‘Poetics of naming in the story of S. Sanbaev ’White Aruana”, “Fantasy and reality in the story of B. Bekpetov ‘Tears of Turanga’, the problem of efficient use of resources in the study of the theme ‘East’ in the Russian prose of Asel Omar” and others.
In Russian language classes, students annually write essays on the theme “My Small Motherland”, where they describe the uniqueness of the nature of their region. The best essays are published in student collections.
