A MILITARY SPORTING EVENT “RESCUER” TOOK PLACE

On the basis of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University military-sports event “Rescuer” was held, in which teams of military-patriotic associations of Ust-Kamenogorsk city took part. The main purpose of the event was to improve the skills of civil defense among young people, as well as military-patriotic education and strengthening the team spirit.

Rector of East Kazakhstan University Mukhtar Tolegen made a welcoming speech.

I am proud that it is not the first year that our university organizes such significant and large-scale events. This is how we bring up the most valiant qualities in young people, – emphasized the rector.

-Every year in honor of the World Civil Defense Day we hold events that temper our military training. Today eight teams from the city schools take part in the competition. All teams approached the competition with high responsibility, – said Senior Lecturer of the Department of Culture, Sports and Primary Military Training Victor Suntsov.

The participants took part in competitions requiring dexterity and endurance, such as disassembling assault rifles, shooting from a rifle scope and tug-of-war.

-The opponents were strong and all the stages were very tense, but we were focused only on victory, – said the captain of the team “Alash” Timofey Zavyalov.

At the end of the event all teams were awarded with letters of thanks and received money certificates.

According to the results of the competition, the team of the military-patriotic association “Sunkar” of secondary school № 35 took the third place. Military-patriotic association “Aibyn” of secondary school No. 46 won the second place, and the team of military-patriotic association “Alash” of secondary school No. 19 became the owner of the first place.
