EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS DEVELOPED A PROGRAM FOR A VARIANT COURSE “GREEN CHEMISTRY”

S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held a competition “Scientific Start-up Projects” among first and fourth year students. The main purpose of the event is to support research work and innovative projects of students.

One of the brightest projects of the contest was a start-up developed by fourth-year students of the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences. Nurali Mukhametalimov, Pulot Gulmurod and Daria Oralbaeva presented the program of the variation course “Green Chemistry”. The aim of the project is to familiarize students with the principles of green chemistry, develop skills in sustainable chemical practices and introduce them to environmentally friendly materials and methods of their creation.

– As part of our project, we want to conduct accessible laboratory experiments demonstrating the principles of green chemistry,” said Nurali Mukhametalimov.

To implement their project, the students organized a course consisting of nine lectures covering key aspects of green chemistry and completed 11 laboratory works aimed at studying environmentally friendly processes. In their project activities, they focused on the development of sustainable chemical processes.

Note that this project aims to increase environmental literacy, develop practical skills in sustainable chemistry, introduce safe and environmentally friendly methods in chemical processes, and reduce environmental pollution.
