A SEMINAR ON MODERN TRENDS IN TEACHER PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT WAS HELD

In S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held a training seminar “Modern trends in the development of university teacher’s personality” for teaching staff. The speakers were Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Nadezhda Zavalko, Candidates of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professors Svetlana Sakharieva and Natalia Radchenko.

During the seminar, the participants discussed individual characteristics of a teacher’s personality, including leading motives and emotions, and their impact on professional activity. The speakers presented key trends, including flexible and rigid skills, emotional intelligence and its role in the educational process, as well as stress management techniques.

Moderators offered participants stress reduction techniques, including the “4-7-8” breathing practice. In the interactive part, teachers took part in a team exercise “Build a Tower” aimed at developing skills of cooperation and role distribution.

Special attention was paid to the issues of communication in pedagogical activity, five basic elements of the communication process and forms of communicative interaction were considered. The topics of time management, SMART methodology and continuous self-development of a teacher were also touched upon.

The seminar ended with an open discussion platform where participants exchanged opinions and useful tips for professional growth.
