EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY CELEBRATED THE BEGINNING OF NURYZ – КӨРІСУ КҮНІ

S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University celebrated “Көрісу күні”. This holiday symbolizes the arrival of spring, the renewal of nature and the strengthening of social ties between people.
For centuries, Kazakhs, who led a nomadic lifestyle, after the long winter months went to neighboring villages to visit relatives and friends. At this time they checked how their relatives had survived the winter, exchanged news and joyfully welcomed the new season.

Specialists of the department of educational work and social issues of East Kazakhstan University organized a warm welcome for students, staff and guests of the university, welcoming everyone with strong hugs. The festive atmosphere was supported by national dances and virtuoso playing of the dombra by talented students.

-Today is a symbol of kindness, friendship and unity. I sincerely congratulate everyone on this beautiful day. I wish peace, happiness and health,” said Zhanneta Kalimoldina, vice-rector for educational and social work.

It should be noted that there is a rich program of 10-day celebration of Nauryz in East Kazakhstan University. Spring decade is not only the beginning of a new year, but also a large-scale event symbolizing the rich culture of the Kazakh people.
