“FAMILY DAY”: A HOLIDAY ABOUT FAMILY VALUES WAS HELD

The Department of Foreign Languages and Translation of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University organized a festive evening “Family Day”.
The main purpose of the event was to popularize Kazakh customs and traditions among students, as well as to promote national and family values.

The participants paid much attention to the role of mother in Kazakh families. According to the organizers, since ancient times it was the mother who was the keeper of the hearth and a strong support for her children.

The guests of the event were shown performances telling how Kazakh families abroad preserve national values and pass them on to their children.

– Today’s event was impressive. We were able to show the features of our culture through songs, dances and theatrical performances,” said East Kazakhstan University student Symbat Isakhan.

During Family Day, students performed the tradition “Betashar”, kui on the dombra and the famous dance “Kara zhorga”.
