INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC-PRACTICAL CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF GULSIM BEKTASOVA

S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held an international scientific-practical conference “The Future of Science: New Directions and Prospects” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Gulsim Bektasova, Associate Professor of the Department of Physics and Technology, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences.

The conference was attended by board members, faculty of the university, as well as students of the jubilee. Representatives of foreign universities joined the online scientific meeting and congratulated Gulsim Safuanovna.

Rector of East Kazakhstan University Mukhtar Tolegen made a welcoming speech, who noted the professor’s 50-year labor in the field of science and education. He emphasized that Gulsim Bektasova is a dedicated teacher, qualified scientist, who occupies a special place in the hearts of her students and presented the jubilee with a letter of thanks and flowers.

– Gulsim Safuanovna is an authoritative person who has brought up many students. Her intellect and mentorship are a great legacy for the youth. The nation needs such mentors. I am proud that our university has such outstanding teachers,” Mukhtar Tolegen said.

The students who came specially for the anniversary shared warm memories of their teacher and presented gifts.

– I am very glad that I studied under Gulsim Bektasova. Thanks to her I got interest to books and an opportunity to develop. As a supervisor, she helped me find my profession and motivated me to enter the master’s program, – said Anton Nikiforov, a 2017 graduate.

At the end of the event Gulsim Safuanovna thanked the organizers of the scientific-practical conference and Rector of East Kazakhstan University Mukhtar Tolegen for her contribution to the development of the educational institution.
