THE PAST THROUGH THE EYES OF YOUNG PEOPLE: AN EXHIBITION OF NATIONAL DRESS WAS HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY MUSEUM

This year within the framework of Nauryz meiramy celebration March 18 was approved as the Day of national dress. In this regard, the exhibition “Ylttyq kiim, yrpaqqa amanat” was held in the museum of “Archaeology and Cultural Heritage of Altai” of East Kazakhstan University. Kazakh, Russian, German, Tatar, Ukrainian and Georgian national costumes, traditional uniforms of Kazakh batyr, as well as dolls of different nationalities were presented.

-National costume is a traditional set of clothing, footwear and accessories that has been formed over the centuries and used by peoples in everyday and festive life. Through national clothing you can learn a lot about the nation, their history and peculiarities,” said Nazym Amanzholova, head of the museum.

The exhibits have already been appreciated by students, to whom Nazym Amanzholova gave a lecture. The special attention of young people was attracted by the men’s camisole Beshmet, which is tied with a special belt at the waist. In the old days, such camisoles could be made of leather and dyed in different colors.

-I enjoyed today’s clothing presentation immensely. It felt like I was among my old ancestors. The atmosphere in the museum is unforgettable,” said student Akbota Pazylova.

The exhibition will be available for everyone until the end of March.
