EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY CELEBRATED THE NATIONAL SPORTS DAY

The Day of National Sports was celebrated in S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University as part of the decade of Nauryznama. Higher School of Pedagogy organized ethnosport competitions among young people. Students tested themselves in the national games “Arkan tartu”, “Asyk atu”, “Koy koteru”, “Kol kuresi” and “Kazak kuresi”.

-Today I took part in the game togyzkumalak. This is a popular folk logical board game on the board, which well develops intelligence and attentiveness, – said student Anelya Kasinova.

-I decided to try my hand at “Kazak kuresi”. This is one of the most ancient sports of nomadic people, which helps to harden body and spirit. The competition was exciting and emotional. I thank all organizers for such impressions. All athletes made maximum efforts, – said the winner of “Kazak kuresi” Alan Mergazy.

Let’s remind, on March 20 in Kazakhstan celebrate the National Sports Day – this is the time when the country recalls and revives its ancient sports traditions, which for centuries formed the strength, agility and spirit of the people. Sports competitions have become an integral part of the national identity, allowing people to unite through common values and striving for physical perfection.
