COUPLES AND LIVE BROADCASTS: STUDENT JOURNALIST ON STUDENT LIFE

A camera, a microphone and an irrepressible thirst for news – these are the three components of life for Eldar Bairbekov, a third-year journalism student. He is not waiting for graduation to start his career – Eldar is already actively storming the media space, honing his skills on television and making a loud statement in the journalistic environment. This ambitious young man is not just studying – he is already living the profession.

-As a person, I am always ready to grow, but as a student, I would like to stay in this carefree era and slow down time,” admits the guy.

Comparing school and university, Eldar notes the key differences.

-The first is, of course, the grading system and teaching methods. The second – university gives a more highly specialized theory base as opposed to school, which is more of a place to adapt to the environment.

In Eldar’s mind, an ideal student day is filled with simple joys: sleep, drive to the university, study, go home, write materials for the next classes, learn video editing and listen to podcasts of his favorite journalists.

The most memorable period of study for Eldar was the second year.

“Then I had an internship on television. It was a good experience in my piggy bank. Another vivid memory was joint classes with philologists, where students of different specialties exchanged knowledge and skills,” he recalls with a smile.

Eldar believes that East Kazakhstan University is the best in the region in organizing student events.

“Activity is a good thing. Students prepare, demonstrate their skills. It’s worth opening the university’s Instagram page – you can see everything there: bright, loud events. It’s really worth all the praise!”

The future journalist is sure that higher education nowadays is a must-have.

“I believe that every Kazakhstani should have a higher education. Sociology, political science, psychology, economics – all this helps me to orient myself in life, to understand the processes taking place in society. Thanks to this knowledge I am not just a journalist, I am a versatile person”.

It should be noted that Eldar confirms by his example that student life can be a balance between carelessness and striving for a successful future. And this can’t help but please him.
