REGIONAL JOB FAIR: 2,500 NEW SPECIALISTS ON THE LABOR MARKET

S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University hosted the annual regional job fair, where 200 employers interviewed 2,500 graduates of the largest university in the region. Each of the fourth-year students presented their CVs and received full information about open vacancies personally from representatives of organizations. In the list of employers: schools, kindergartens, the Center for Support of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders “Asyl Miras”, “Emil” LLP, educational and research center “Ecobiocenter”, “Sogra Thermal Power Plant” LLP, farm “Med Altaysky”, regional TV channel “Altai” and others.

-For several years in a row the employment rate of our graduates is 98%. We have special control over the graduates completing their education under the state educational grant and the project “Bilikti Maman”. This year we expect to graduate 667 full-time students on pedagogical educational programs, 451 of which are grant students. Their 100% employment is the primary task,” said Rector of East Kazakhstan University Mukhtar Tolegen.

According to Doskhan Kairgazinov, deputy head of the Department for Coordination of Employment and Social Programs of EKR, the job fair is a unique platform for dialog with young job seekers.

– Today, many institutions from sectors of the economy such as industry, manufacturing, food, medicine and education are present here. Thanks to this approach, employment rates are increasing in the city and in the region. The event will allow young people to get primary contacts with employers and demonstrate their potential,” said Doskhan Kairgazinov.

Special attention during the fair was paid to the participants of the project “Serpin 2050: Мәңгілік ел жастары – индустрияға”. Many graduates of this program intend to build a successful career and continue their education by enrolling in master’s and doctoral programs at East Kazakhstan University. Note, the total percentage of employment of graduates of the program “Serpin” in EKU is 97%, which is one of the record indicators in the country.

-Today my classmates and I were able to check all the details with the employers in person. This is a real “Head Hunter”, but in real time. It’s very convenient and well thought out. Thank you for taking such care of us. I have already found several interesting options for me personally,” said Kuralay Zhaksylykova, a student of East Kazakhstan University.
