STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS OF EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY TOLD ABOUT THEIR ACTIVITIES
S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held a meeting of student organizations and clubs with Rector Mukhtar Tolegen and Chairman of the Board of Directors Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov. During the event, the work of student self-government was presented, covering the key areas of educational and social activities of the university.
It should be noted that educational and social work in East Kazakhstan University is based on the values of the philosophy “Tolyk adam”. The main priorities are preparation of students for active participation in public life, formation of leadership and social competencies, creation of conditions for professional growth and strengthening of physical health, as well as development of culture aimed at counteracting destructive phenomena, such as alcohol addiction and gambling addiction.
To date, the university has 18 student associations. Thus, “Committee on Youth Affairs”, intellectual club “Parasat” and club “Sanaly Kurpak” are engaged in education of responsible, highly cultural and socially active personality. Chess club “Akbozat”, student theaters “Shabyt” and “Avangard”, as well as KVN club “Zhaidarman” popularize healthy lifestyle, national games and contribute to the discovery of creative potential of students. Volunteer activities are represented by clubs “Meyirim” and “Shuak”, which provide support to students and develop volunteer movement. Debate club “Dilmar”, historical organization “Herodotus”, association “Parasatty Zhastar”, as well as clubs “Okirman” and “Kalamger” are aimed at developing the intellectual potential of young people and fostering patriotism. There is also a special women’s club “Korkem”.
During the meeting the students presented the activities of their associations and demonstrated their abilities in various fields. Participants of the club “Okirman” performed arnau accompanied by dombra, members of the women’s club “Korkem” treated guests with sweets, student theater prepared a monologue dedicated to the Year of Working Professions, and volunteers of the club “Shuak” played dombra, creating an atmosphere of national color.
A special moment was the participation in the event of students from Tajikistan, who expressed their gratitude to the university for the warm welcome and the opportunity to be part of the student community. The meeting was held in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, emphasizing the importance of student initiatives.
