IN CONTINUATION OF NAURYZ: FESTIVE PARADE, GENEROUS TREATS AND MULTINATIONAL FLAVOR AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University once again surprised citizens with a large-scale and bright celebration of Nauryz. This year the leadership of the largest university emphasized the unity of the peoples of Kazakhstan, which from year to year coexist under a single shanyrak.

The celebration of the great Turkic New Year began with a colorful parade – excellent educators, distinguished veterans, outstanding athletes, brave students of the Military Department named after Kabanbay Batyr and talented students of the Military Department. Kabanbai Batyr and talented activists walked to the sounds of Kazakh motifs, demonstrating the diversity of the successful contingent of East Kazakhstan University.
It is noteworthy that the leader among the athletes was a young judoka and master’s student of the educational program “Physical Education and Sport” Akmaral Nauatbek, who recently won a medal of the Paralympics-2024. She came to the regional center specially to attend a major celebration at her alma mater.

-I am grateful to the university for respecting my person, regular support and inviting me to this amazing event. Today I got a lot of impressions, plunged into the spring atmosphere and tasted large portions of delicious pilaf, – said the athlete with a smile.

Among other honored guests of the university were Nurymbet Saktaganov, Akim of East Kazakhstan region, Alibek Kantarbayev, laureate of the International Literary Award “Alash”, and Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors. The head of the region got acquainted with the color of the Great Alley of Kazakh houses named after Abai Kunanbaev, Kasym Kaisenov, Tolegen Tokhtarov, Izgutty Aitykov, Yumash Uvaliev, Sarsen Amanzholov, Kanipa Bitibaeva. In his speech Nurymbet Amanovich noted the scale of the holiday and the merits of the university in the development of education and science.

– East Kazakhstan University with a rich history makes a significant contribution to the progress and prosperity of our region. In particular, in science and education. And today’s event demonstrates to us all the right values, continuity of generations, honoring the diversity of cultures and patriotism. All this is taught to the young generation by the university management within the walls of the educational institution, – said the akim of East Kazakhstan region.

– Today this holiday is equally dear to all peoples living in multinational Kazakhstan. Nauryz is a symbol of unity of our multinational country. Therefore, it is very important not to forget about the main values of our state – peace and harmony, – said the rector of East Kazakhstan University Mukhtar Tolegen.

The celebration continued with a rich concert program. The audience was pleased with the defile of national dresses, dance and vocal performances of student creative groups, as well as guest artists. At the same time, young guys who are fond of sports tried themselves in national games: asyk atu, arkan tartu and kazak kuresi. For this purpose, the organizers allocated a special space with a sports mat.

After an active pastime everyone could plunge into a gastronomic tour. East Kazakhstan University employees prepared a lot of national dishes of different peoples. The guests had a unique opportunity to taste Kazakh, Korean, Russian, Uzbek, Tajik, Tatar and Turkish cuisines for free. The menu items were varied: kurt, chak-chak, Uzbek pilaf, Tashkent tea, Korean drinks, sushi, samsa, pide, pancakes with raspberry jam and others.

At the end of the feast, the attendees were treated to 500 kilograms of hot baursaks, 300 liters of Nauryz Kozhe and half a ton of pilaf cooked in the best traditions.
