AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES FINANCIAL SECURITY FORUM

On the basis of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University started a forum on financial security for students, organized by the Department of Economic Investigations of East Kazakhstan region. The event, aimed at popularization of financial literacy, will last until April 11.

The purpose of the event is to increase financial and legal literacy of youth, familiarization with modern trends in the field of financial security, as well as training to recognize and prevent fraudulent schemes.

– Our main goal is to teach young people how to avoid fraudulent schemes and recognize anything that can threaten financial security. Today students learned how to protect themselves from financial risks and what consequences may arise in case of negative outcome of events, – said the head of the organizational control division of the Department of Economic Investigations of East Kazakhstan region Zhanar Taygaranova.

During the forum, Professor of the Higher School of Business and Law Dinara Mamyrbekova explained to students how to avoid financial pyramids, do not trust false advertisements on the Internet and recognize dropships. She emphasized that the majority of Internet fraud is carried out using droppers – people who provide bank cards and accounts for illegal use.

During the event, students studied real examples of fraud, analyzed practical cases and learned the basics of financial security.
