THE ROLE OF THE TEACHING ASSISTANT IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

In order to develop professional competencies and share experience, Gulnur Moldakasymova, pedagogical expert of the Regional Psychological-Medical-Pedagogical Consultation” of the Department of Education of East Kazakhstan region, conducted a practical training on the role of a pedagogical assistant in pedagogical and psychological support of children with special educational needs. The listeners were students of the special pedagogical program “Special Pedagogy”.

The speaker elaborated on the main job duties of a teacher-assistant. In addition, detailed information about the methods and stages of work was presented. Also, the expert contributed to the formation of students’ future professional skills through practical samples.

According to the students, the event allowed not only to deepen the practical knowledge of students in the field of working with special children, but also to understand the role of a teacher-assistant in a unique educational process.
