NATIONAL FINANCIAL SAFETY OLYMPIAD: ACTIVE PREPARATION OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

On the basis of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University a forum dedicated to the basics of financial security was held with the participation of the head of the region Nurymbet Saktaganov. The organizer of the event was the Department of Economic Investigations of EKR.

During the event the organizers presented information about the National Olympiad on financial security held by the Agency for Financial Monitoring of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Akim of EKR noted that such a large-scale event takes a special place in the development of financial literacy and financial culture among young people.

– Preservation of financial security of the population is one of the topical issues today. The President of the country also spoke about it. Through such forums and trainings we should explain to young people the importance of financial security. One should not strive to earn easy money. Students should maintain close contact with teachers, administration, ask questions of concern. I wish good luck to all participants of the National Olympiad,” said Nurymbet Saktaganov.

The National Olympiad is designed to demonstrate modern trends in financial security, to teach how to resist risks and threats in the financial sphere.

– We organize large-scale events to improve students’ knowledge of financial security. During the week we have held a series of rich lectures and provided important information to almost 30 thousand students,” said Arman Zhunusov, Head of Economic Investigation Department of East Kazakhstan region.

130 East Kazakhstan University students will participate in the National Olympiad. The best of the best, who will successfully pass all three stages of the competition, will get tickets to the national stage. The students who achieved excellent results in Astana will have an opportunity to take part in the International Olympiad.

– Students of each Higher School are actively preparing for the competition. This is an important and responsible event, which will affect young guys only from a positive side, – said Rector of East Kazakhstan University Mukhtar Tolegen.

According to the university students, today’s generation should be as financially literate as possible, especially in the period of active scaling of the Internet.
