AN ART EXHIBITION WAS ORGANIZED TO PROMOTE FINANCIAL SAFETY

The Department of Economic Investigations for East Kazakhstan Region and Amanzholov University organized a drawing contest to promote financial security among the youth of the region.

Representatives of the two organizations were presented their works by the participants of the exhibition, telling about the meaning and process of author’s paintings.
Rector of East Kazakhstan University Mukhtar Tolegen emphasized the uniqueness and creativity of the students.

– Our student youth demonstrated their knowledge and views through fine arts. The works of the participants are not similar to each other – creativity is observed. Such a contest, in addition to the development of creative potential, contributes to attracting attention to current problems in society, – said Mukhtar Tolegen.

More than 120 contestants from several educational institutions took part in the exhibition. The gallery was full of a variety of techniques and a riot of colors. The youth managed to convey their thoughts to the masses.

– The guys depicted legal and psychological ways of how to protect oneself from scammers, as well as the importance of financial literacy. When I saw the paintings, I was pleased with the talent and ingenuity of our students,” said Gulmira Bayirkenova, associate professor of the Department of Jurisprudence.

The contest participants noted that the lack of financial literacy leads to a significant reduction in the quality of life.

– Financial illiteracy and ignorance of security measures lead to deplorable situations. In modern society, Internet fraudsters take advantage of the kindness and gullibility of the elderly and illegally seize their funds. We wanted to convey this simple but important message,” said Shugyla Yeleukenova, one of the winners of the contest.

According to the results of the competition, students of the educational program “Judicial and Prosecutorial Activity” of East Kazakhstan University Shugyla Yeleukenova and Zhuldyz Aglanova took the first place and received a monetary certificate in the amount of 200,000 tenge. The student of EP “Economic Education” EKTU named after D. Serikbayev Aiym Kaliyeva took the second place and received a reward of 150,000 tenge. The third place was taken by Meruert Mukhametkarimova, a student of the educational program “Vocational training in art work and graphics” of East Kazakhstan University, who received a cash prize of 100,000 tenge.
