AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY RECTOR PARTICIPATES IN PARLIAMENTARY HEARINGS

Mukhtar Tolegen, Rector of EKU, took part in the parliamentary hearing on the development of legal education in Kazakhstan. During the parliamentary hearing reports were made by the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Justice Yerlan Sarsembayev, recognized scientists of the country Zauresh Baimoldina, Isidor Borchashvili.

As the Chairman of the Senate Maulen Ashimbayev noted, the level of qualification of professional lawyers directly affects all spheres of society and the state. In the framework of the realization of these tasks, systematic work between stakeholders is carried out. In particular, the result of joint activities of the Senate Committee on Constitutional Legislation and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education was the concept of development of legal education.

To date, a number of issues remain relevant, the solution of which requires careful consideration and needs international best practices. As Maulen Sagatkhanovich said, specific mechanisms are needed for systemic solution of problems. Special attention will be paid to the digitalization of processes and the use of artificial intelligence technologies. The issue of training directly affects the quality of development of legal acts and draft laws.

During the parliamentary hearings, the importance of developing and approving a professional standard for the legal industry was separately emphasized. In addition, special attention was paid to the imparting of practical skills and specialization of graduates by branches of jurisprudence.

The proposals expressed during the hearings will be taken into account in the development of relevant recommendations and sent to the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
