UNIVERSITY SCIENTIST TOOK PART IN THE I REPUBLICAN FORUM “ZHAS GALYM”

The I Republican Forum “Zhas galym”, which united more than 300 young scientists from all over Kazakhstan, was held in the capital. The event was attended by East Kazakhstan University researcher Meruert Maulet, who became the winner of the funding competition “Zhas galym”.

Forum participants discussed the opportunities that the state creates for the development of Kazakhstani science. Also scientists shared ideas and proposals to strengthen the scientific potential of the country and the promotion of scientific communities.

In turn, Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek congratulated young scientists on the Day of Science Workers and urged the scientific community to support each other.

-We now need applied ideas and projects, strong teams. Today interdisciplinary research is potential and effective. Believe in yourself, we will support you as much as we can. Take advantage of the opportunities. We need new projects, new faces. It is encouraging to note that 46% of 25.5 thousand scientists are young scientists under 40 years old, – said the head of the department.

Let’s remind, the grant program “Zhas galym” is implemented for three years by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan on behalf of the Head of State. Its purpose is to increase the number of scientists and increase the scientific potential of the country by supporting the institute of postdoctoral studies. During these years 688 grants were allocated by competitive way.
