MINISTER OF EDUCATION MET WITH FUTURE EDUCATORS

During his working trip to the regional center of East Kazakhstan region, Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev met with students of pedagogical education programs of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. The main attention was paid to the issues of improving the quality of training of pedagogical staff, improvement of educational programs and the importance of continuous pedagogical education. The head of the department noted that effective training of students today is the foundation of quality education of the younger generation in the future.

-A teacher is a vocation that is filled with a deep spiritual content, an enlightening mission. In all times, enlighteners have been considered individuals who lead society to progress. This term accurately expresses the true essence of the great work of an educator. Love your profession and you will conquer all peaks, leaving your name in the history of education, – Gani Beisembayev addressed to future teachers.

The participants of the meeting were students studying under the state program “Serpin”, athletes of volleyball club “Berel”, showing excellent results in the world arena, as well as residents of the student theater “Shabyt”, volunteer club “Meirim”, debate club “Dilmar” and the Club of foreign students “Welcome”.

It should be noted that today in schools of Kazakhstan there is a shortage of teachers, and their deficit significantly affects the quality of secondary education. The problem has been repeatedly pointed out by the President of the country, speaking about raising the status of teachers, modernization of curricula and assistance to Kazakhstani universities.

In 2023 in East Kazakhstan region the need for pedagogical staff amounted to 230 people. In the same year East Kazakhstan University graduated 689 ready specialists and fully covered the need for the region and other regions of Kazakhstan.
To date, East Kazakhstan University has more than 4000 students of pedagogical educational programs.

In addition, the university is also engaged in retraining of already practicing teachers. Thus, university specialists regularly conduct professional development courses for teachers and their retraining from preschools to colleges.

-We believe that a continuous system of education is one of the main keys to an erudite, literate and progressive generation. As of today, we conduct pedagogical retraining in eight areas. Hundreds of specialists have already returned from us with new knowledge,” Mukhtar Tolegen, rector of the university, said.

The Minister highly appreciated the quality of training of pedagogical staff at East Kazakhstan University, noting that the 1st place on the results of the Assessment of teachers’ knowledge for the last three years is a clear indicator of the correct vector of development of the university.

In addition, not so long ago the second-year students of the educational program “Pedagogy of preschool education and upbringing” took the honorable first place in the Republican Subject Olympiad.

By the way, the employment rate of graduates is 98%. East Kazakhstan University is constantly working on the study of the labor market and forecasting trends in the development of needs.
