EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY REPRESENTATIVES AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN BURYATIA

An international scientific conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War was held in Ulan-ude (Buryatia). The theme of the event was historical experience, memory and continuity of generations. Zhanneta Kalimoldina, Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Work of East Kazakhstan University, and Aiauly Nurbekova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, took an active part in the large-scale event. Representatives of the alma mater made voluminous author’s reports at the international platform, which gathered participants from Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and China.

The conference discussed a wide range of issues related to the historical significance of the great victory and discussion problems of historical memory of the Second World War. The scientists also raised the issue of strengthening patriotism among young people.

A collection of scientific articles will be published as a result of the event.
