NATIONAL BOOK DAY IS CELEBRATED AT THE UNIVERSITY

April 23 is National Book Day in Kazakhstan. In honor of this day in the library named after Beibit Mamraev East Kazakhstan University prepared several events aimed at supporting librarianship, creative development of youth and promotion of the book as a key element of education and self-realization.

-We invite students and teachers to take part in open readings, exhibitions, bookcrossing action, literary podcasts and contests, – announced the library specialists.

It should be noted that in 2024 a large-scale modernization of the university library was completed, the funds are constantly replenished with new editions, which opens access to quality literature. The library has become not only a place to store books, but also a space for communication, creativity and cultural growth.

The initiative to establish this holiday was supported by the Head of State, who noted that the love of reading is the basis of intellectual and cultural progress of the nation.
