BUSINESS AND EDUCATION: REGIONAL EMPLOYERS’ FORUM AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY
Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University hosted a large-scale forum of employers “Human Capital-2025”, which aims to integrate ideas to ensure a quality educational environment, human capital development and career planning. The forum was organized in accordance with the Decree of the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev on the “Year of working professions”.
-In his Address to the people of Kazakhstan, the Head of State noted that the values of diligence and professionalism in our society should always be in the first place. It is thanks to the specialists of their work that the new quality of our nation is formed, – said the Chairman of the Board of Directors of East Kazakhstan University Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov.
The event was also attended by Aset Adylkhan, Head of the Human Capital Development Department of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of East Kazakhstan Oblast, Lazzat Kezdikbayeva, Deputy Director of the Vocational Education Center of East Kazakhstan region, heads of education departments of cities and districts of the region.
– S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University has close cooperation with large industrial enterprises and educational institutions. Every year the Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken” conducts rating of universities in the section of specialties, where East Kazakhstan University regularly takes leading positions. It is commendable that here for the last five years the employment rate of graduates is 98%, – said Aset Adylkhan.
– If in the framework of the project “Bilikti Maman” since 2017 at the expense of the regional budget allocated 2856 educational grants, 1040 of them on the account of East Kazakhstan University. That is, more than half of the grant holders chose this university. This speaks about the excellent work of the university management in the field of professional and career guidance training, – emphasized Lazzat Kezdikbayeva.
The forum included a training for heads of educational institutions “Management of innovations in education: from idea to change and result” and a master class “Qualified worker – competitive specialist”.
The speakers were Zhanar Bukanova, director of the East Kazakhstan University branch of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Madina Mukhamedjanova, head of HR management group at UMP JSC, Bayan Toikebayeva, general director of Felix Astana LLP, Irina Rovnyakova, vice-rector for strategic development and international cooperation at East Kazakhstan University, and others.
The participants of the event shared their suggestions and comments for the adaptation of educational programs to the current needs of the market. In their opinion, the integration of ideas to ensure a quality educational environment, human capital development and career planning can be realized through a systematic approach in educational policy and practice. The educational system should be aimed not only at the transfer of knowledge, but also at the formation of competencies in demand in the future.
For this purpose, the university has created a practice-oriented environment. Elements of dual education have been introduced in 17 specialties. There are 25 branches of departments in educational organizations, which are the bases of students’ professional practice.
At the end of the forum there was a solemn awarding ceremony of Amanzholov University’s long-term partners in the nomination “The Best Employer-2025”. They were the National Nuclear Center of Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan Region Police Department, “EK LAB SERVISE” LLP, Boarding School “Ak Niyet”, “Children’s Music School” and Lyceum № 44 named after Oralkhan Bokey.
-The role of an employer goes beyond business. You create jobs, develop talents, and shape culture. Therefore, your strategic decisions today influence what the labor market will be like tomorrow,” concluded Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of East Kazakhstan University.
