FIRST MEETING OF THE REGIONAL SCIENCE COUNCIL OF EKR

The first meeting of the Regional Council for Science of East Kazakhstan region was held in the regional center, which was attended by Rector of East Kazakhstan University Mukhtar Tolegen and Vice-Rector for SD and IC Irina Rovnyakova.
The event was chaired by the head of the region Nurymbet Saktaganov, as well as the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek.

During the meeting were discussed reforms in the field of science, aimed at meeting the needs of the economy and industry. In addition, the participants discussed the mechanisms of interaction between scientific organizations with enterprises to introduce knowledge-intensive technologies and innovations to solve technological problems and improve the competitiveness of products. The composition of the Regional Science Council of East Kazakhstan region and members of the working group were also approved.

The activity of the Regional Council on Science is aimed at strengthening ties between science and society, increasing the scientific and technical potential of the region, as well as the introduction of innovative solutions in key areas of life in the region to improve its quality. The Science Council is designed to become an effective platform for dialog between science, government and business, aimed at solving urgent problems of socio-economic development of the region.
