THE DAY OF UNITY OF THE PEOPLE OF KAZAKHSTAN THROUGH THE EYES OF YOUNG PEOPLE

Members of the Youth Affairs Committee organized a round table dedicated to the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan. Participants of the event were Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Work Zhanneta Kalimoldina and foreign students who arrived as part of the academic mobility program from Tajikistan and Korea.

-The Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan was established in 1996 and is aimed at strengthening ties between representatives of different ethnic groups. On this day Kazakhstanis honor the basic principle laid down by the state in relations between them – “Unity in diversity”, – said Zhanneta Kalimoldina.

She also noted the recent speech of the Head of State on the freedom of choice of language of communication, emphasizing the importance and wisdom of this thought. Let’s remind, earlier Kasym-Jomart Tokayev said that in modern Kazakhstan nobody should limit personal preferences of people in choosing a language for communication.

During the meeting, student youth answered the questions of the quiz, which touched upon the history and meaning of the public holiday. At the end of the round table, the participants expressed their wishes to each other in different languages and took a memorable photo.
