AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES SCIENCE FESTIVAL FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN

In Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University the annual Festival of Science for schoolchildren began its work. One of the key events was the competition of scientific projects “Zhas zertteushi”, which is held in the format of public defense of research works.

This year the competition gathered 105 applications from all over the East Kazakhstan region. According to the results of the first qualifying stage, 49 projects made it to the finals. On the first day of the competition 24 scientific works were presented, which participants defended before the jury consisting of leading scientists and professors of the university.

The topics of the projects covered a wide range of areas – from history and linguistics to mathematics and natural sciences. Schoolchildren presented both classical scientific research and unique author’s ideas, which had not been previously raised within the framework of the competition.

The jury members noted the high level of preparation of the contestants, their creativity, logical presentation of the material and the desire to deeply analyze the problems.

Festival of Science in AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY is not only an opportunity for schoolchildren to demonstrate their scientific achievements, but also an effective platform for the development of youth scientific potential of the country. The University actively supports such initiatives, creating a bridge between school and university science, involving young people in research and innovation activities.

The state also supports young scientists by providing grants and funding for original ideas and developments, thus strengthening the scientific future of Kazakhstan.

We remind that tomorrow the second day of the festival will be held, within which the remaining projects will be considered.
