ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION “CLEAN KAZAKHSTAN”: EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS TOOK PART IN THE CLEAN-UP DAY IN HONOR OF THE 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE GREAT VICTORY

Students of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University actively participated in the clean-up day as part of the environmental action “Clean Kazakhstan”, timed to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The main purpose of the action is to protect the environment and increase the responsibility of young people for their region and street.

– Proceeding from the principle “As you treat your yard, so you treat your country”, every citizen should start with cleanliness and order in his surroundings. This action is a sign of respect for veterans who showed heroism during the terrible war, – said Zhanneta Kalimoldina, vice-rector for educational and social work.

During the subbotnik the students cleaned and tidied up the street of the 30th Guards Division, where the educational building No. 1 is located. It should be noted that this street was given this name on May 9, 1985.

The 30th Guards Division is a military unit that showed special heroism in the Great Patriotic War. For participation in the battles near Moscow and the liberation of the city of Riga, the division received the honorary name “Riga”.
