AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY HOSTED A MEMORABLE EVENT “ER ESIMI – EL ESINDE”

As part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory in Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, a commemorative event “Er esimi – el esinde” was held.

Veterans, students, teachers and guests of the university honored the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The central part of the event was the exhibition, which presented jubilee medals of the participants of the war and home front, as well as the exposition dedicated to the university teachers – veterans of the Second World War: Ualieva Y. K., Amanzholova S. A., Shestakova A. A., Ermolaeva L. A., Plotnikova B. G., Golovanova F. G., Pakina L. A., and Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya Moldagulova.

Member of the Board, Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Work Zhanneta Kalimoldina in her speech emphasized that each republic within the Soviet Union made an invaluable contribution to the Victory. The memory of heroes, fighters and home front workers is alive in every family throughout the post-Soviet space.

Gulmira Zainelova, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Culture, Sports and Primary Military Training, shared her memories of her father – Zeinoll Tansykbaevich Tansykbaev, a participant of the Kursk and Königsberg battles as a member of the 30th Gvardieskoi Divisii, awarded the medal “For Bravery”.

The special atmosphere of the event was given by creative numbers: honored teacher of the Kazakh SSR, honorary citizen of East Kazakhstan region, veteran of the university Lensta Aubakirova read a poem “For the Fatherland”, senior lecturer of the Department of Music Yuri Ananyev performed the song “Dark Night”.

The event was organized with the support of the University Veterans Council, trade union organization and the University Museum. As a sign of respect and gratitude, the rector of East Kazakhstan University Mukhtar Tolegen gave the veterans of the home front a monetary reward. Also the trade union of the university presented memorable gifts.
