AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY IN THE SMALL HOMELAND OF HEROES: “BY ROADS OF MEMORY AND HONOR…”

In honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and within the framework of the republican environmental action “Taza Kazakstan” students of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University took part in the large-scale improvement of the new alley of Batyr on the small homeland of Halyk kaharmany Kasym Kaisenov, Heroes of the Soviet Union Izgutty Aitykov and Tolegen Toktarov.

The final stage of works in the settlement of Kasym Kaisenov Ulan district of East Kazakhstan region did not do without the help of student youth – the guys went on a labor landing, showing willingness to contribute to the common cause. The action became a manifestation of respect and gratitude to fellow countrymen, whose feats forever remained in the history of the country.

In addition, on this day activists and talents of Amanzholov University prepared a concert program, giving the villagers a good mood.

– We are grateful to the students and staff of the university for their care and attention. The active life position of the youth is commendable,” said Anar Sergazina, head of the district’s internal policy department. – Such initiatives foster a sense of responsibility, patriotism and love for their native land in the younger generation. We are always glad to see university students among our partners and friends.

Another significant event of the day was the equipping of the Psychological and Pedagogical Correction Room of Ulansky District with modern speech therapy equipment. Now children attending the institution will be able to take classes at an innovative speech therapy table, a proprietary development of Amanzholov University scientists.

– The initiative of the university is aimed at the development of inclusive education in rural areas in accordance with the tasks outlined by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, – said the rector of East Kazakhstan University Mukhtar Tolegen.

– The transferred equipment is a patented development of scientists of our university. Earlier the project received state grant financing in the amount of 110 million tenge.

Speech therapy table, which has no analogues in Kazakhstan, includes a touch screen monoblock, interactive panel, speech therapy tasks in Kazakh, speech therapy mirror, methodological materials and cards. The set includes more than 100 tasks aimed at automatization of sounds, development of phonemic perception, memory, thinking and mathematical skills.

– In addition, we provided author’s developments and methodological materials on inclusive education, which received 12 author’s certificates. They include interactive simulators, recommendations for teachers and adapted educational methods developed taking into account the needs of children with special educational needs, – explained the head of the Center for Continuing and Inclusive Education “Dana Bala” Alima Alipova.

– As of today, 75 children take correctional classes in our center, and more than half of them need to work with such equipment,” said Zhanara Rapikova, head of the ‘Psychological and Pedagogical Correction Cabinet of Ulan district’. Zhanara Rapikova. – For us, this is an important step towards better support for special children. We are sure that thanks to this equipment the efficiency of classes will increase, and children will be more willing to participate in the process. On behalf of the parents and the whole staff, I would like to thank the developers and everyone who supported this project.

The equipment is designed to work with children with severe speech impairment, delayed psycho-verbal development, and mild mental retardation. It has been tested in a number of preschool and correctional organizations in East Kazakhstan. One of such tables was previously installed in Shemonaikha district. In Ulan district, the project implementation became possible thanks to the support of Kazzinc JSC.
