KAZAKHSTAN DURING THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR: DATA AND MATERIALS

The Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University together with the Department of Digitalization and Archives of East Kazakhstan Region and SCCP “State Archive” held a round table on the theme “Kazakhstan during the Great Patriotic War: facts and materials”.

The event was attended by employees of the State Archive, teachers and students. During the meeting the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory was noted, it was emphasized that it was the result of a common struggle, unity and selfless work of all the people. Special attention was also paid to the preservation of peace as the main value of modernity.

The main event of the event was the report of the head of the department of publication and scientific use of documents of the State Archives T.V. Shustova on the theme “The theme of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in archival documents”, which became an important source for researchers. The speaker shared valuable information from the archival funds and proposed a methodology for working with historical materials.

The event was organized for the purpose of patriotic education and contributed to the formation of students’ love for the Motherland and respect for historical personalities. It was once again emphasized that it is a sacred duty of descendants to honor the memory of the heroes who contributed to the Great Victory.
