Our university is looking forward to talented young people and provides opportunities for comprehensive development within the framework of academic mobility and international projects, – said the rector.
In his speech, the representative of the Ministry emphasized the importance of the right choice of profession and noted that today Kazakhstan’s universities have all the opportunities for quality education. The project “Study in Kazakhstan” is realized by order of the President of the country and is a large-scale initiative. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan has already established strategic partnerships with 23 foreign countries, and this year – with 11 leading universities around the world. To date, Kazakhstan has branches of a number of foreign universities. In September this year, a branch of Cardiff University will open in Astana. This university has a high rating not only in Great Britain, but also in the whole world. Branches of universities will train personnel taking into account the peculiarities of each region and the needs of the labor market.
– Today the applicants of East Kazakhstan explained the procedure for the UNT this year. I would like the graduates of the region to choose universities not only in megacities, but also in those areas where educational institutions show high academic results. After all, the goal is not just to go to a big city, but to choose a really good university. Universities in the regions are developing and modernizing in accordance with the requirements of the time. Branches of foreign universities are being opened in a number of them. All the ongoing work is aimed at ensuring that young people can get quality education of international level, without leaving home, – said the adviser to the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ruslan Emelbaev.
This year about 216 thousand applications were submitted for participation in the UNT – this is a record figure for the country. Ruslan Emelbaev emphasized that the number of educational grants has not increased compared to last year. He also noted that each university has the right to independently set the passing score. In national universities it starts from 90 points and can reach 130.
By the way, during the event Amanzholov University awarded 14 educational grants to gifted graduates of the region – excellent students, winners of Olympiads, scientific and creative competitions. The grant winners were school students from Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Zaisan, Katon-Karagai district and other districts.
– I won a four-year educational grant from Amanzholov University. I am sure that I will receive quality education and become a qualified specialist. I am happy that I can become part of a community of educated and motivated young people. I see how East Kazakhstan University students continue their studies abroad and get new opportunities,” said Aisholpan Akhatbekova, an 11th grade student at a school in Shilikti village, Zaisan district.
