AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY DISCUSSED THE FUNDAMENTALS OF CONCEPTUAL LEARNING AND RESEARCH

In Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held a seminar on “Conceptual foundations of teaching and research”, conducted by Professor of Political Science Department of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, Doctor of Political Science Sharipbek Amirbekov.

The meeting was attended by the teaching staff of pedagogical directions of the university and doctoral students.

– Today in our education system there is a lack of conceptual approach in teaching. I tried to explain to teachers and youth of Amanzholov University the directions and peculiarities of this system of education. In developed countries, educational systems are based on conceptual learning. Therefore, this topic is especially relevant, – said Sharipbek Amirbekov.

Conceptual learning is an approach to education that focuses on deep understanding of key ideas and concepts rather than simple memorization of facts. This approach allows students to see the relationships between concepts, apply knowledge in new situations and develop critical thinking.

During the workshop, the theoretical foundations of conceptual learning, levels of knowledge acquisition, mental models, cognitive frames and paradigmatic concepts were discussed.
