EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY STUDENT WINS THE NATIONAL CONTEST

In Semey city there was held the republican competition “Soz guмyr”, devoted to the 90th anniversary of the outstanding writer, historian, ethnographer and folklorist Zeynollah Sanik. In this large-scale intellectual competition the student of the fourth year of educational program “Kazakh language and literature” of the Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University Bekarys Sakenov took the honorable first place.

Also the student of the first year of the same educational program Alpamys Nurbolat was awarded with a letter of thanks and a valuable gift.

Students from 12 universities of the country took part in the republican competition. The competition was held in three stages: reading a poem of their own composition, art reading and writing an essay.

This success of East Kazakhstan University students testifies to the high level of interest in the national literature and language at the university, as well as to the comprehensive training of future specialists.
