PARTNERSHIP WITH MALAYSIA: NEW TECHNOLOGICAL HORIZONS FOR AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

Scientists from Sultan Idris University of Education (UPSI, Malaysia) arrived to S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University with a working visit.

The visit is aimed at the development of scientific cooperation, academic mobility and the launch of joint research projects. As part of the visit, the Malaysian scientists met with the rector of Amanzholov University Mukhtar Tolegen.

– We are glad to welcome such highly qualified specialists. Joint work in the field of materials science and mathematical modeling opens great prospects for our university and strengthens international scientific cooperation. We plan to develop bilateral programs, including joint publications and projects, as well as academic mobility of faculty and students,” said the Rector.

Associate Professor Shazlin Milleane binti Shaharudin and Dr. Sumaya Aimi binti Mohd Najib conduct lectures and seminars for master’s and doctoral students. The topic covers machine learning methods in atmospheric forecasting and mathematical modeling of hydroclimatic phenomena. Particular attention is drawn to the activities of PhD Dr. Muhammad Nurazlan bin Abd Azis, who conducts joint experiments with Amanzholov University scientists at the Research Center for Surface Engineering and Tribology. The scientist presents an environmentally friendly way to produce silicon dioxide (SiO₂) from rice husks, an agricultural waste product that is converted into a valuable material for the production of glass and protective coatings. This method not only promotes the utilization of agricultural waste, but also offers a sustainable alternative to traditional methods of silica synthesis.

Malaysian scientists highly appreciated the level of equipment of Amanzholov University laboratories, noting that the infrastructure meets modern scientific requirements. In the near future, the parties plan to sign agreements on launching joint scientific projects and expanding international partnership.
