EAST KAZAKHSTAN UNIVERSITY SCIENTISTS UPGRADED THEIR SKILLS IN TECHNOLOGY COMMERCIALIZATION

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University hosted a training seminar to improve the qualifications of scientists in the field of technology commercialization. The event was organized by the Kazakhstan Center for Commercialization of Technologies LLP (KazCCT).

The seminar was opened by the rector of the university Mukhtar Tolegen, who in his welcoming speech noted that bringing scientific discoveries to the market is the main priority in the development of the university.

During the seminar, the participants received theoretical knowledge on building a strategy for commercialization of scientific developments and effective interaction with business. Also 4-5 scientific project groups received practical recommendations and individual consultations from KazCCT experts on investment attraction. As a result of project presentations, the opportunities to attract potential investors and private partners increased.

– The main goal of today’s seminar is to improve the qualification of university scientists in the field of technology commercialization. Within the framework of the event we got acquainted with scientific projects of the university and gave specific proposals for their further commercialization, – said General Director of “Kazakhstan Center for Commercialization of Technologies” LLP Kurmangazy Omarov.

Also within the framework of the seminar Kurmangazy Omarov made a report on “How to successfully prepare an application for a grant competition on commercialization of technologies”. And KazCCT Investment Director A.E. Junusova conducted a practical seminar on “Effective presentation of scientific project to business partners”.

– There was provided relevant information about the innovation model and commercialization mechanisms in Kazakhstan, as well as the mistakes often made in patenting and bringing the product to the market. Today commercialization of scientific projects is of great importance. It opens the way not only to the development of the region, but also the whole country, – emphasized Professor of the Department of Physics and Technology Dosym Erbolatuly.

At the end of the seminar, the participants were awarded special certificates.
