IV ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF KAZAKHSTAN PHYSICS SOCIETY: RECOGNIZED PHYSICISTS OF THE WORLD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

The IV annual conference of the Kazakhstan Physical Society was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. This large-scale scientific event, which united leading scientists from all over the world, became an important milestone not only in the history of the university, but also in demonstrating the scientific potential of the country. During three intense days scientists from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Great Britain, Poland, Malaysia presented about 70 most relevant reports on hydrogen energy, quantum matter, spin states, plasma physics, materials science, etc. The event was organized by the Kazakhstan Physics Society.

Prof. Siddharth S. Saxena of the University of Cambridge is one of the leaders in the field of quantum matter and spin states research. Prof. Wojciech Wieleba from Wrocław University of Technology shared his research results in high-energy and nuclear physics, and Prof. Marcin Kot from the Stanisław Staszyc Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Krakow presented the latest developments in nanophysics and condensed matter physics.

– I have previously conducted scientific research in Ust-Kamenogorsk, so it gives me a special joy to return to this city. East Kazakhstan is rich in natural resources, which in turn increases interest in materials research. I see this conference as the beginning of large-scale scientific cooperation and joint research. In the future, special attention will be paid to projects in the field of metallurgy and rare earth metals,” said Prof. Siddharth S. Saxena.

Dr. Muhammad Nurazlan bin Abd Aziz, a specialist in STEM education and physics teaching methodology from Sultan Idris University of Teacher Education (Malaysia), and Professor Ali Çoruh from Sakarya University (Turkey), who presented work in plasma physics and materials science, also shared their research.

In addition, the participants of the international dialog were scientists from Nazarbayev University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh National Research Technical University, National Nuclear Center of Kazakhstan, Institute of Nuclear Physics and other leading scientific organizations of the country.

– This conference brings together physicists, young researchers, teachers and students. The basis of any modern technological progress is science, first of all physics. Therefore, the importance of the annual conference of the Kazakhstan Physical Society can hardly be overestimated. Especially in our time, when a new scientific and technological revolution is growing, such scientific platforms open great prospects, – emphasized the rector of East Kazakhstan University Mukhtar Tolegen.

Laifa Bufendi, a researcher of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, who presented a new technology to fight cancer and talked about the connection between Kazakhstani science and medicine, also spoke at the conference.

– At present, we are paying special attention to nanotechnology and microtechnology. The main goal is to accurately determine the localization of malignant formation and direct treatment directly to the tumor without affecting other organs. We use the method of magnetic hyperthermia to affect the tumor point by point. This significantly increases the effectiveness of treatment,” the scientist said.

AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY researchers also made author’s reports during the international dialog. Among them were Akatan Kydirmolla, Meruert Maulet, Yedilzhan Kambarov, Tleubek Dalabaev, Ayim Nabiloldina, Dias Yerbolat, Makpal Nurizinova, Moldir Bayandinova, Nazym Sagiyeva, Tilek Kuanyshbekov, Dana Bolatkan and Amina Nokanova.

-I presented the results of research conducted by NLCU in cooperation with NNC RK on the topic of hydrogen energy. These data aroused great interest among the participants of the conference, because hydrogen energy is considered as a source of energy of the future. I am confident that today’s discussion will contribute to fruitful scientific collaborations and achievements,” said East Kazakhstan University Senior Scientist Akatan Kydirmolla.

Scientists from the alma mater covered a wide range of priority areas of modern physics. In their speeches, they presented the results of original research involving both fundamental and applied aspects of physical science. The speakers raised important scientific, technical and methodological issues that require further discussion in the professional community.

Note that the IV Annual Meeting of the Kazakhstan Physical Society is a unique platform for the exchange of experience and effective coordination between domestic and foreign scientists. Here were presented the latest research, discussed common challenges to the development of modern physics, as well as outlined promising areas of scientific research.
