AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY PRESENTED THREE GRANTS TO THE WINNERS OF THE “ME AND THE LAW” CONTEST

On the basis of AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY the regional competition “I and the Law” organized by the Prosecutor’s Office of East Kazakhstan region was held. As noted by the organizers, the event was initiated within the framework of the implementation of the state action “Law and Order”.

As a sign of support of the initiative of the Prosecutor’s Office of East Kazakhstan region and in order to encourage the best participants of the contest “I and the Law” the University management provided three educational grants for training of the winners.

The purpose of the event is to form a sustainable legal consciousness, respect for the law and active citizenship in the younger generation.

The competition was attended by 14 teams formed from school and college students. The participants presented creative performances devoted to the fight against offenses and current legal problems of their territories.

Young people focused the audience’s attention on the problems of bullying, corruption, theft, family and domestic conflicts, and street crime through bright and dynamic dance performances, theatrical performances, oratory, poetry, vocals and creative video presentations.

-Today’s event is aimed not only at identifying not indifferent children, but also at involving them in the prevention of delinquency, strengthening the ideology of justice, law and order. It is wonderful that all participants approached our contest with creativity, – said the prosecutor of Kurchum district Mukhamedjan Orazbayev.

The jury members were representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office of the region and S. Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University – Rector Mukhtar Tolegen, head of research institute “Abaitanu” Aizhan Kartaeva and head of student theater “Shabyt” Ertai Kasenov.

-Considering the importance of the event for the development of legal culture, we are pleased to welcome the contestants and organizers to our alma mater. The head of state has repeatedly emphasized that to build a harmonious society it is necessary to ensure compliance with law and order. East Kazakhstan University makes a significant contribution to the development of legal culture. We implement comprehensive measures to prevent addiction, bullying, drug addiction, as well as provide digital security, – emphasized the first head of the university Mukhtar Tolegen.

The awards ceremony was a fairy-tale ending of the large-scale competition. The competent jury determined three winners. The third place and a certificate in the amount of 200,000 tenge was won by the team of Glubokovsky district. The second place and a prize of 250,000 tenge was won by the team of Ust-Kamenogorsk city. The absolute winners of the competition was the team of Ulan district, who won 300,000 tenge.
